Accenture presents a surfing elephant in this ad from Young & Rubicam in New York to pose the question: “Who says you can’t be big and nimble?” Oddly, they chose “Well Respected Man” by the Kinks for the soundtrack. That’s not a surfing song. Why not the Beach Boys? If Accenture can’t get that right, why should I trust them with my investments, or whatever it is they do? I’ll assume CGI was used for the visuals, since pachyderms traditionally prefer snowboarding. This particular fatty couldn’t stay on a wave that long in real life. He’s got way too much junk in the trunk! Still, in spite of these shortcomings, this elephant on a surfboard does, at least, divert attention away from the one in the corner.
