Specsavers, the U.K. eyewear chain with the famously amusing ads, has whipped up a great World Cup-themed ad in the wake of England’s embarrassing loss to Germany on Sunday. The ad makes a reference to the goal England scored in the first half that was disallowed because the referees failed to see the ball cross the goal line. The play has renewed the call for goal-line technology in soccer, but Specsavers figures the refs just need better glasses. The ad ran today in The Sun, The Daily Star, The Daily Express and The Daily Mail. See the full image after the jump.
